Australian Magpies are some of the most charismatic backyard visitors, known for their beautiful warbling songs that echo through the suburbs. These clever and curious birds often strut across lawns, searching for insects or worms, and will happily accept a snack from a friendly human. Magpies form strong family bonds, and it’s common to see them foraging together in large groups. Waking up to their lovely chortles in the morning is one of my favourite childhood memories.
