Living specimens of the Gingko tree are older than 3000 years and the tree itself can be found in the fossil record dating back to the Jurassic Period.
The tree itself is a truly beautiful tree, many gorgeous specimens of the Gingko can be found here where I live in the Dandenong Ranges, making it quite special to me.
