Sometimes I just have to try out an idea that burbles through the mind.
I wanted the look of old distressed wooden boardwalk/pier with those old wooden bollards to give it the visual feel of a pier or wharf.
Evoking for me a memory of the crunch of discarded mussel shells on the wooden boards, scavenged off the bollards at low tide, and to marry this look with the softness of baroque pearls - the colour of white seafoam after a cleansing storm, to wear as studs.
